Military Transition Information
If you are a member of the military who has recently been called to active duty, or if you are returning from recent military service, the Office of Student Assistance can be a resource for you. If you find that you have limited time to plan for your departure start by notifying your advisor and the Office of Student Assistance. There are decisions that might be influenced depending on when you find out about your activation (before or after a semester is in session).
Each student’s situation will have different circumstances to consider when making these decisions. Student Assistance staff can help explore these options and help you better understand the processes the university has in place.
Information about these processes and other resources for veterans can be found at the Veterans Center website:
The Student Assistance and Outreach staff is available to meet from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. To schedule an appointment, stop in to the Dean of Students Office (1010 Student Services Building), email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office at 515/294-1020.
