Who We Are
Student Assistance within the Dean of Students Office is available to provide assistance to students experiencing difficulties or complex situations to ensure that each student has the opportunity to achieve their academic and co-curricular goals at Iowa State University.
These situations may include, but are not limited to:
- Hospitalization
- Mental health or wellbeing concerns
- Medical emergency or long-term illness
- Death of loved one
- Off-campus living concerns
- Unexpected events or challenges
- Academic challenges or concerns
If you aren’t sure where to begin regarding a concern, Student Assistance is a great place to start! We work in collaboration with a number of campus departments as well as community providers to assist students with overcoming challenges to be successful and continue towards graduation.
How do I arrange an appointment?
You can call our office at 515-294-1020 and one of our front desk staff would be happy to schedule you for an appointment. All appointments are in 1010 Student Services Building (view campus map).
