Student Assistance Follow-Up and Evaluation Team
The Student Assistance Follow-up and Evaluation Team (SAFE-T) is an interdisciplinary team of trained professionals who meet regularly to monitor student behavior, assess threat, and develop appropriate intervention plans. SAFE-T is coordinated by the Dean of Students Office and includes experts from Student Assistance, the Office of Student Conduct, ISU Police, Student Counseling Services, Thielen Student Health Center, University Counsel, International Students and Scholars, Student Accessibility Services and the Department of Residence.
The purpose of SAFE-T is to assess and coordinate the University’s response to student behavior which requires intervention in order to help the campus community and its members feel supported and safe. Addressed concerns may include specific incidents or just general concerns about the behavior of a student or groups of students.
